The project “İstanbul 1910-2010: The City, Built Environment and Architectural Culture Exhibition” is an urban exhibit that employs an interactive pattern over the maps for displaying the social-spatial transformation which Istanbul has undergone in the period 1910-2010, to the visitors at santralistanbul. The project will reflect a historical process of 100 years in periods and thematic groups so that all layers of the city could be observed easily.
Social-spatial structures of one hundred years, consolidation and dissolving processes of social and economic geography and built environment, priorities in architectural culture and their change were presented to visitors through maps, models, drawings and various visual communications devices. The exhibition which took place at santralistanbul Main Gallery were open to visitors between 15 September and 20 November. However, the exhibition was extended to January, 16th 2011 by popular demand with the title of "İstanbul 1950-2010". During this time, the part displaying 1950-2010 architectural period of İstanbul was open to visitors.
