Energy Room!

A document exhibition entitled “ENERGY ROOM!” was realized at santralistanbul Museum of Energy between the dates of 7 and 31 October 2007 within the context of“Public Turn in Contemporary Art” project. The exhibition brought together artist talks actualized during the project, documentations of artists’ own works as well as articles and books on public art.
The exhibition was organized as an archive space and research area at santralistanbul Museum of Energy. The exhibition which aimed to give opportunity to visitors to research on relationship between public space and contemporary art, was composed of a digital project archive and a library consisted of publications on this area. The visitiors of the exhibitions were able to read books, watch the projects of participant artists from DVD archive and reach the artists’ articles on public space and contemporary art via the electronic archive.
“ENERGY ROOM!” carrying all panel and artist talks one step forward, became a space feeding the learning will and curiosity raised by acquaintance. Electronic sources, articles and books in this area presented the examples of synergy between public space and art in a comprehensive way.
