Che in the 21st Century

Cuban author Froillan Gonzalez Garcia who published numerous books on Ernesto “Che” Guevara and who received Cuba Sciences Academy’s Critique Award with his book entitled CIA against Che gave a conference in conjunction to the exhibition. The author discussed the fact that fifty years after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and forty-one years after his murder, the portrait of the mythical revolutionary guerrilla, has turned into a commercial brand name used on t-shirts, bottles and various other objects and yet Che still symbolises the real revolution for many people. Researcher, historian and author García also talked about Che’s life and his fight for the revolution and examine the reasons of his presence in the 21st century.
